Chiller Systems; Units that use the mechanical compression refrigeration cycle (refrigerant gas cycle) for the production of cold water required in industrial facilities and comfort air conditioning applications are called cooling groups or chillers.
Chiller cooling groups are divided into two main types;
1) Air Cooled Chiller: Chillers/cooling groups that use the atmospheric air in their environment to condense the refrigerant in the condenser.
2) Water Cooled Chiller: Chillers/cooling groups that use water to condense the refrigerant in the condenser.
