Water Cooling Tower Systems; It is a cooling phenomenon caused by the spraying of hot water coming from the Process/System onto the filling and the heat being released into the atmosphere using high flow fans.
Water Cooling Towers are divided into two main groups;
1) Open Type Water Cooling Towers: Designed as open circuit cooling towers, the cooled water is directly exposed to the atmosphere. Since the water moving in the cooling tower with the help of air and fans is affected by environmental conditions, it is necessary to take precautions against pollution.
2) Closed Type Water Cooling Towers: Water coming from the condenser or process is passed through the tube bundle serpentine in the tower. While the closed water cooling tower is operating, the cooled water waiting in the tower pool is sucked by the pump and sprayed onto the serpentine at the top. While the water is filtered, air is passed over the serpentine with the help of fans, allowing evaporation and heat to be released into the atmosphere. It is more advantageous in terms of clean process water compared to the open type water cooling tower, as it is constantly clean.
